look how much simpler her

uncut gemstones look.

Michelle Obama wore clothes by well-known designers during British prime minister David Cameron visit to the White House.
She wore a Marchesa gown for the State Dinner, and had on a Zac Posen dress and jacket earlier that day. She wore L'Wren Scott pants for an out-door event.
The Posen and Marchesa are attractive ensembles, unusually low-key for these designers. But, trust Michelle to add her own twists, which deflates whatever charm these outfits might have had.
She took off the smart Posen jacket during her speech at the event, and exposed her bare, muscular arms once again. And there is an indefinable broach crawling on her dress - closer inspection shows that it is some kind of a bird.
She chose a simple, elegant Marchese outfit for the State Dinner in an attractive hue, a kind of teal blue. But the top doesn't quite fit her, and the skirt is a little too tight. And she wrapped a jumble of beads around her neck. I've said before that her either her stylist is so bad that she should fire her/him, or that Michelle is so stubborn to have her way that no stylist can have a say.
She wore L'Wren Scott bell-bottom pants to a "a mini-Olympics event" as "a nod towards to forthcoming London Olympics Games and to the First Lady's Let's Move campaign." How can she run, let alone, walk, in those giant bell-bottoms?
I will leave Samantha Cameron alone. I think her printed violet/blue dress is pretty (did she color-match with Michelle?). I think pants for formal occasions are out, especially for leaders in the spotlight, so I will also leave that modern fashion ineptitude alone for now. Cameron usually comes out looking pretty good, so this might be an aberration.
I thought Georgina Chapman, who is one of the duo behind the beautiful Marchesa line (the other is Keren Craig), had Indian (Asian) ancestry. The closest I can to Chapman's biography is that her mother, Caroline Wonfor, may have been Jewish. The photo below, with Georgina as a very young girl with her mother some thirty years ago, shows Chapman with dark hair and a darker complexion (I don't think it is just the suntan). At a 2006 event, Wonfor is blond, (dyed most likely).
