The New York Fashion Week is on from February 9-16. And of course the aggressive Vera Wang will be there too.
I shouldn't be surprised (or shocked) at what Wang comes up with these days. The above images are from her Spring Ready to Wear collection for 2012. Look at her collection, and wonder at where her imaginative-bereft designs come from. These are truly atrocious works.
There are many designers to counter this. For example, Ralph Lauren has come up with lovely, 1920s themed, floral dresses and skirts for his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. And Carolina Herrera (also know primarily for her wedding gowns, but who had made the transition to ready-to-wear without much difficulty) has an interesting collection for her Spring 2012 RTW. Both will be at New York Fashion Week.
